Mr. Bob Breault invited the Fire Chief and a couple of volunteers to come to G. H. Robertson and speak with the children regarding issues dealing with fire, fire prevention, and fire safety tips. The children were all very excited to listen to what each one had to say and to look at the various types of equipment that are used when dealing with fires. In addition, the children asked very well thought out questions for the firefighters. Thank you to the Coventry Fire Department for taking time out of your busy schedule to come and visit. We hope to see you all again next year! Click here for pictures of our visitors!

Walk 4 UNICEF: October 26, 2007
- Ms. Michelle Santese organized a "Walk-a-thon" to help support the UNICEF Program that enables children to help other children through raising donations. Traditionally, children take their little orange boxes with them on Halloween Night and ask for small monetary donations. This year, in addition to children going out trick-or-treating, the 4th Grade wanted to try to top last year's amount of $1400. In order to make that possible, Ms. Santese developed the idea of having a small one hour Walk 4 UNICEF. The children really enjoyed this event and the teachers learned how to dance to the song "Cotton-eyed Joe." Here are some pictures that highlighted the event. CLICK TO VIEW
