"Art in the Afternoon"

     Art in the Afternoon is an eight session after-school activity.  Children have an opportunity to work in various artistic mediums while completing projects.  A different art topic is explored each week - line, shape, pattern, the color wheel and 3-D design - and various artists are featured as models. 

     This season we have made cat drawings in oil pastel, made Indonesian flying creatures using acrylic paint, made paper self-portraits and created changing faces books.  We will soon be drawing life-sized Samurai warriors using India Ink, creating three dimensional paper sculptures and painting a watercolor still life.  Stay tuned for more photos!
