6th Grade

Evelyn has lived in Coventry for 11 years. She likes being a student at Capt. Nathan Hale, enjoys dancing, and likes to play video games.

Tasha Jucius
6th Grade
Tasha has lived in Coventry for 5 years and thinks the students and teachers at CNH are extremely friendly. Tasha loves to read and write poetry. Tasha’s teachers state the following; “Tasha has been an exemplary student. She has modeled excellence… she has shown that she is self-motivated and wants to excel in all that she does.”

Emma Thomas
7th Grade
“Emma is a positive role model for CNH students. She is involved in many important school activities… is responsible, and practices good citizenship,” said one of her teachers. Emma has lived in Coventry her entire life and enjoys being a student at Capt. Nathan Hale. She is very active with soccer throughout the year, participates with the morning news program and enjoys filming/editing student news stories for Fox 61.

Jonathan Lamb
8th Grade
“John is conscientious, and very polite. He is respectful of people and property, and always a gentleman,” says one of John’s teachers. He has lived in Coventry for 13 years, likes to play guitar, football, and hanging out with his family.

Krissy Anderson
7th Grade
“Krissy comes to class every day with a smile on her face. She is always willing to participate with other classmates,” says Team 7A. Krissy enjoys P.E., reading, and sports. She is polite, courteous, and has a great sense of humor.

Lindsay Williams
6th Grade
“Lindsay exhibits qualities that make her a successful student at CNH. She is responsible, creative, dedicated to tasks at hand, and likes being a student,” commented one of her teachers. Lindsay has lived in Coventry her entire life. She likes to read, and plays softball and basketball. Lindsay likes learning things in school that she knows she will use later in life.

Michael Chirico
8th Grade
Team 8A had the following to say about Michael; “Mike has excellent citizenship! We appreciate his friendly, cheerful manner day in and day out. He is kind and a friend to others.” Michael has lived in Coventry for 9 years and likes the support he receives from his teachers at Capt. Nathan Hale.

Mr. Kyer
7th Grade Social Studies/Reading
In only his first year at Capt. Nathan Hale, Mr. Kyer has made an immediate positive impact. Prior to joining the CNH staff, Mr. Kyer spent 11 years in Stafford, 5 as a second grade teacher and 6 as Technology Coordinator. His ability to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of each of his students is a true asset.

Nicholas Proto
7th Grade
Nicholas’ teachers had the following to say; “Nicholas puts genuine effort into his work and maintains a high level of achievement in all of his classes.” Nick has lived in Coventry his entire life and likes to play video games and make movies with his video camera. In fact, Nicholas hopes to someday become a movie director.

Tim Goodale
8th Grade
Tim has lived in Coventry for 14 years. He is an avid soccer player, enjoys reading and playing drums. “Tim is an excellent student and a gifted athlete. Tim is respectful of his peers and teachers alike,” said one of his teachers. Tim has been selected to work on an EastConn grant entitled, “Portals to the Past” which incorporates both art and history.
