Dear Students and Parents of Team 8A,

We hope your summer has been enjoyable and restful. We are eagerly awaiting the start of the school. There are many exciting activities and learning experiences planned for the upcoming year. The team has many interdisciplinary units planned in order to enrich the curriculum. Some of these units include pioneer days, immigration days, and the assembly line luncheon. Therefore, in order to be organized for the upcoming year, we have prepared a list of suggested school supplies in which we recommend for 8th grade.

For social studies, science, and language arts, students will need a 1” binder for each class.  The binders should either be different colors or have a clear view overlay on the front cover, therefore they will be easily identified for each subject area. These binders should be plain and inexpensive; they should not have zippers or Velcro closures. 

Back to School List:

• 3-1” Binders
• (1) 3½” Diskette or Flash Drive
• Blue/Black Pens
• Pencils (Regular or Mechanical)
• Page Dividers for the binders
• Filler paper
• Self stick notes
• Highlighters
• Portable 3 hole punch that clips into the binder
• Two/Three subject notebook with pockets (for Math)
• 4 Folders with three hole punches for binder storage

Some important dates to remember are:

• First day of school, August 29, 2005
• Open House, September 21, 2005
