Mrs. Plaster
My teaching career started in 1971 at G.H. Robertson School as a third grade teacher. I taught first, second, and third at G.H.R. until 1999 when I came to Coventry Grammar School and have been teaching second grade ever since. I have also had the opportunity to be the Grade Level Coordinator for our Second Grade for the past six years.
I received my Undergraduate degree from Central Connecticut State University and my Graduate degree from University of Connecticut. I have taken many Postgraduate courses, and I have enjoyed new learning from many conferences.
Teaching young children, for me, is exciting and rewarding. Each day the children learn and grow in their knowledge. They learn from each other both academically and socially, and I, fortunately, learn from them as well. The feeling of community is a goal we strive for in our room and the bridge between home and school is essential for the building of our community.
