Bees and Honey In-School Field Trip
The Barnes Nature Center visited the second grade on March 11th and 12th. The students had the opportunity to learn about Honey bees and their lifestyle within the bee colony. The students learned about the different roles bees have in the colony. The presenter explained how bees produce honey and the way beekeepers harvest the honey. The students were fascinated by the honey extractor. It was an informative and enjoyable experience for everyone.
