Across the years, I had forgotten about the pure joy there is in a primary school!  Even though the first year of my career was spent happily teaching Kindergarten in Philadelphia, the next 25 years were focused at the high school level, first as special education teacher, then department head and assistant principal, and, eventually, as high school principal in two different Connecticut school districts. It was my great fortune to come to Coventry in 1996 and to serve the district as Director of Pupil Services for five years prior to my appointment as principal of Coventry Grammar School in July 2001. 

Young learners are a never-ending source of hope, creativity, and wonder.  They are natural questioners, fearless explorers, and eager discoverers who need steady hands to guide them, strong hands to support them, and patient hands to help them along their way.  The wonderfully gifted and dedicated teaching and support staffs at Coventry Grammar School are superbly suited to making a difference in the lives of the children who come to us each day with smiling faces and open hearts and minds. 

It is my privilege to do whatever I can to strive to make easier the important, hard work that our staff members accomplish each and every school day.  It is my pleasure to be with our students as they learn and play, to praise them for a job well done, to remind them when an error in judgment is made, and to show them that good things can come from caring, sharing, and cooperating.

I am incredibly proud to be principal of Coventry Grammar School!
