Storybook Celebration

Coventry Grammar School students and staff celebrated Stories, Storybooks, and Storytelling Day on Wednesday, October 31.  On Monday and Tuesday, classroom teachers shared their favorite storybooks with students, and parents and family members were encouraged to do the same at home.  On Wednesday, the spotlight turned to the students as they shared their own favorite books with their classmates.

As part of the celebration, the boys and girls were encouraged to wear a costume or bring a prop that represented a character from their book.  A very special “treat” that day was the first of three annual distributions of a free book to each child in our school.  This was made possible through the generosity of our PTO and local businesses.  The children are so very excited and grateful that they will all receive three new books by the end of the school year!
