A message from Donna Bernard

 Whisper, whisper, whisper…

 

Psst, psst, psst…

 

“Sean saw Dr. Bernard on Daly Road.”

 

“He did?”

 

“Bruce saw her at a house on Flanders River Road.”

 

“Melissa Ann told me she saw her delivering something up at a house near North Farms Road.”

 

“When Ellee saw her, it appeared as if she was lost, hunting for a house she had never been to before.”

 

“Is it true?”

 

For those of you that have been wondering… it is true.  The school Superintendent will deliver a mug, with hot soup or coffee, to any resident’s home that has been supportive of Coventry Public Schools’ students and programs.

 

“Well, what does a resident have to do to get a personally delivered mug?”… “How come I don’t have one?”  Sometimes, these are the questions I hear.

 

… and the answer is…

 

A community member need only be recommended by someone else in town for such a commendation.  I enjoy taking recommendations via email (dbernard@coventryct.org), phone (742-7317 x2), or fax (742-4567).  (I like recommendations best in person, in my office, over a cup of tea, such that I might get to know members of the community better).  There are so many programs and activities and such wonderful involvement with community members and school children that personal visitations, either at homes or in my office, help keep me informed. 

 

Do you know someone who is supportive of Coventry Public Schools?  With so many beneficial efforts being made, your recommendations are needed.  (The Superintendent cannot be everywhere at once. :-)  For those of you who haven’t had a chance to stop in at our regularly scheduled visitation opportunities please check our website at www.coventrypublicschools.org for an updated list of “Donuts with Donna” sessions.
