Sherry Holmes has been the Fiscal Services Director in Coventry, Connecticut since July, 1999. She graduated from Eastern Connecticut State University in 1985 with a Bachelor of Science Degree majoring in accounting. She is an active member of the Connecticut Association of School Business Officials (CASBO) serving as a liaison to the Board of Directors. In May, 2006, Sherry Holmes received the Rising Star Award from CASBO.

Roles & Responsibilities
- Development of an annual fiscally conservative school budget; analysis and reporting on the activity of all funds; management of student activity funds;
- Preparation of all state and federal reports as mandated (i.e. State End of the Year ED001 report and State Retirement Reports);
- Management of the regular budget and grants; yearly audit management;
- Fixed asset management;
- Purchasing, approval and payment of invoices;
- Management of employee benefits;
- Property and liability insurance, Workers’ Compensation (CIRMA) and Unemployment Compensation;
- Process payroll;
- Maintain personnel and attendance records; and
- Management of the food service program.
